JEE Advanced 2026 Marks Calculation – How is Your Score Calculated?

JEE Advanced Result 2026 has been computed by IIT Roorkee using raw marks obtained by students in Paper 1 and Paper 2. Knowing how to calculate marks will enable you to gauge your position even before the actual outcome is announced.

Subject-wise Marks Calculation:

  • Physics Marks = Physics score in Paper 1 + Physics score in Paper 2
  • Chemistry Marks = Chemistry score in Paper 1 + Chemistry score in Paper 2
  • Mathematics Marks = Mathematics score in Paper 1 + Mathematics score in Paper 2

Aggregate Marks Calculation:

  • Total Aggregate = Physics Total + Chemistry Total + Mathematics Total
  • Maximum Aggregate Score = 360 Marks

All India Rank (AIR) Calculation: The rank list is prepared entirely based on the aggregate total marks. It is compulsory for candidates to appear in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who are absent in either paper will not be considered for any rank list.

Tie-Breaking Policy (When Two Candidates Have Equal Marks):

  1. Candidate with higher positive marks gets a better rank
