• The IB ACIO exam has three stages: Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III.
• Tier I is an objective test of 100 marks. It includes five sections and checks your general knowledge, reasoning, math, and English skills.

IB ACIO 2025: Step-by-Step Selection Process

The IB ACIO Exam Grade 2 Executive selection process has three stages:

• Tier I – Objective written exam

Tier I Complete Details

You will need to solve 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in 1 hour.

Tier II Complete Details/Interview

• Essay writing and English comprehension, including precise writing, are meant to check your ability to express ideas clearly, understand written content, and summarise information properly.
• In the essay section, you will write on a given topic in a clear and well-structured way.
• For comprehension, you will read a passage and answer questions to show how well you understand it.
• In precise writing, you will need to shorten a passage by keeping only the main points and writing them in fewer words.
• Candidates who pass Tier I move on to Tier II, which is a descriptive paper worth 50 marks. It must be completed in 60 minutes and is conducted in pen-and-paper format.
• This stage checks your English writing skills. It includes essay writing (usually worth 20 marks), reading comprehension, and long-answer questions. These questions are often based on current affairs or social, political, and economic issues.
• To pass Tier II, you need to score at least 33%. Although it is a qualifying stage, your Tier II marks are still counted in the final selection, along with your scores from Tier I and the interview (Tier III).
