SSC CGL Syllabus 2024: Tier 2 Paper 1

SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 1 syllabus comprises three sections, each covering two subjects. Section 1 includes questions on Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning and General Intelligence. Section 2 encompasses English Language and Comprehension & General Awareness. Section 3 contains two tests: Computer Knowledge test and Data Entry test.   • Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), input/ output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back- up devices, PORTs, Windows Explorer. Keyboard shortcuts.
  • Software: Windows Operating system including basics of Microsoft Office like MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint etc..
  • Working with the Internet and emails: Web Browsing & Searching, Downloading & Uploading, Managing an Email Account, e-Banking.
  • Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojans etc.) and preventive measures.
DEST:
  • Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), input/ output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back- up devices, PORTs, Windows Explorer. Keyboard shortcuts. Software: Windows Operating system including basics of Microsoft Office like MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint etc.. Working with the Internet and emails: Web Browsing & Searching, Downloading & Uploading, Managing an Email Account, e-Banking. Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojans etc.) and preventive measures. DEST: The candidates will be given a passage of nearly 2,000 key depressions for which they will have 15 minutes to demonstrate their skills in data entry.
  • The SSC CGL DEST will be mandatory for all the posts. However, the exam will be qualifying in nature. The detailed instructions regarding the Skill Test will be provided by the Regional Offices of the Commission.
  • Candidates participating in the SSC CGL 2024 with OH category will be exempted from attempting DEST. PwBD candidates who are eligible for scribes will be given an additional 5 minutes for the skill test.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2024: Tier 2 Paper 2

According to the revised SSC CGL examination pattern for 2024, the Tier 3 Descriptive examination has been removed from the examination process. Consequently, there will be no essay or letter writing included in the SSC CGL Syllabus 2024.

There is no limit on the maximum number of attempts for the SSC CGL exam. Candidates can apply until they reach the maximum age limit specified.

The SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 2 comprises three sections: Papers 1, 2, and 3.
