Step-by-Step: How to Check the NEET UG 2025 Seat Allotment Result

1. Visit the Official MCC Website

Go to the official Medical Counselling Committee site:
 mcc.nic.in
Make sure you open the correct section — for UG Medical Counselling (there are separate sections for PG, SS, etc.). You’ll see a section labeled “UG Medical Counselling 2025” on the homepage.

2. Click on the “Seat Allotment Result” Link

Once on the UG Medical page, look for the notice or tab that says:
 “Seat Allotment Result – Round [1 / 2 / 3 / Stray Vacancy]”
It’s usually under the “Current Events” or “Latest Announcements” section.

Click that link. It will take you either to:

  • A PDF list of all allotted candidates (with rank, category, and allotted institute), or
  • A login page where you must sign in to view your personal allotment status.

3. Log In to Your Candidate Account

If prompted, log in using:

  • Your NEET UG 2025 Roll Number
  • Password or Date of Birth (as used during registration)

Then click “Submit” or “Login.”

4. View Your Allotment Status

After logging in, your allotment status will appear on the dashboard. It will show:

  • Your name and roll number
  • Your NEET rank
  • Course allotted (MBBS/BDS)
  • Allotted college/institute
  • Category (as per seat allocation)
  • Reporting schedule and instructions

You can also download your Allotment Letter from this page.

5. Download the Allotment Letter

Click on the link that says “Download Allotment Letter.”
This document is extremely important — it confirms your seat and lists your reporting date, the name of the allotted college, category, and required documents for verification.
Keep multiple copies (both digital and printed) of this letter for your records. You’ll need it for reporting to the college.

6. Check the Full Allotment List (Optional)

If MCC releases a PDF list of all candidates, you can open it directly without logging in.
That file includes details such as:

  • NEET rank
  • Candidate name (partially masked for privacy)
  • Allotted college and course
  • Category and quota type (AIQ, Deemed, etc.)

This helps you verify general seat distribution trends or cross-check if your name is included.

7. Reporting to the Allotted College

If you’ve been allotted a seat, follow the reporting window mentioned on your letter (for the Stray Vacancy Round, it’s from 13 Nov to 20 Nov 2025).
Take along:

  • All original certificates (10th, 12th, NEET scorecard, ID proof, category/PwD certificate if applicable)
  • The Allotment Letter
  • Fee receipts
  • Passport-size photos

You must report in person unless the notice explicitly allows online verification.

8. If No Seat Is Allotted

If your result shows “No Seat Allotted”, you can still:

  • Wait for the next round (if available), or
  • Re-register when the next round opens (for example, Stray Vacancy Round registration was open from 4–12 Nov 2025).

Always review the official notice for eligibility to participate again.

9. Confirm and Secure Your Seat

After reporting to the college and document verification, pay the admission fee (if required) to secure your seat.
The college will then issue a confirmation or admission slip.
Remember:
Failing to report within the allotted timeline means you lose the seat and may face restrictions in future rounds.

NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Step-wise Procedure Registration

Below is a detailed guide on how this round works—particularly for candidates under the central/AIQ process via MCC.

Step 1: Check Eligibility & Prepare

Before you attempt registration, you must ensure you meet the eligibility and have your documents ready.

Key eligibility criteria (for this round):

  • You must have qualified NEET UG 2025 (i.e., your result declared and you meet the minimum criteria).
  • You must not currently be holding an allotted seat and have not joined that seat in earlier rounds (for this central AIQ round). If you already joined in Round 3, you may not be eligible.
  • Fresh registration is required (you cannot just reuse previous login / registration from earlier rounds).
  • You must keep yourself updated with the official website for the seat-matrix, available seats, and timeline.

Documents/Preparation required:

  • Your NEET UG 2025 scorecard and rank details.
  • Valid category certificate if applicable (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), PwD certificate if applicable.
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar, etc).
  • Recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature.
  • A clear idea of the colleges/courses you prefer (because choice-filling is a key step).
  • Good internet connectivity, since deadlines are tight.
  • Payment method ready for registration fee online.

Step 2: Registration & Fee Payment

This is the first active step you will take.

How to register:

  • Visit the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in (home page of MCC).
  • Look for the link “NEET UG 2025 Stray Vacancy Round – Registration” (once live).
  • Fill the registration form with required details: NEET UG application/roll number, date of birth, category, etc.
  • Upload required documents (photograph, signature, and category/PwD certificate if needed).
  • Pay the registration/processing fee online (via credit/debit card/net banking). Until the fee is paid, registration is incomplete.
  • After successful payment and submission, you’ll receive/obtain login credentials (or use the same login details if existing) for choice filling.

Registration Fee

15% AIQ / Central Universities INR 1,000 INR 500

15% AIQ / Central Universities INR 10,000 INR 5,000
Deemed Universities All Categories: INR 2,00,000

Step 3: Choice-Filling & Locking

Once registration is done, the next critical step is to fill in your preferred choices of college/course and lock them.

Choice-filling details:

  • Log in to the candidate portal (on MCC site) using your credentials.
  • The seat-matrix for this round (vacant seats under AIQ/central institutions) will be published; review it to know which colleges/courses you may prefer.
  • Fill your choices in order of preference. You may list as many as allowed (the more good choices you make, the higher your chances).
  • After filling in your choices, you must lock your list before the deadline. The window for locking choices will be open from approximately 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on November 12th.
  • If you do not lock the choices by the deadline, your last saved choices may still be considered, but you risk not utilising your full preference list properly. It’s best to lock proactively.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

Once choices are locked, MCC will process the seat allotment using your NEET rank, preferences, category, and seat availability.

Details for allotment:

  • Allotment processing happens on 25 November 2025.
  • The result of allotment is declared on MCC website. You must log in and check whether you have been allotted a seat.
  • If you are allotted a seat, you will receive an allotment letter (downloadable PDF).
  • After allotment, you generally need to decide whether to accept & freeze the seat (i.e., commit) or (if the round allows) opt for upgrade (i.e., participate further for a better preference). But as this is the stray vacancy round (final opportunity), usually you accept and report. Always read the specific instructions in the allotment letter/notice.

Step 5: Reporting to the Allotted Institute & Joining

Once you accept the allotment, the final step is to complete institutional formalities: document verification, fee payment, joining and reporting.

Reporting process:

  • After the result, you must report to the allotted college/institute between 13 November 2025 and 20 November 2025.
  • Go to the college with your original documents: NEET UG scorecard, class 10/12 certificates, identity proof, category/PwD certificate (if applicable), allotment letter, bank receipt (if you paid any admission fee), etc.
  • On verification, pay any required fees (admission or security) as per college/institute rules.
  • Confirm your admission by attending orientation/starting classes as required by the institute.
  • After joining, ensure you follow rules: you cannot resign simply to participate again (in this final round) without consequences.

Step 6: Wrap-Up & Final Checks

Since this is the last round, it’s vital to ensure you complete all steps timely. After 20 November 2025, the window closes for this stray vacancy round under MCC for AIQ seats. Vacancies then may either be surrendered, or colleges may fill via other mechanisms (state quota or institutional quota).

Registration (Detailed)

Since registration is the first technical step, here’s an in-depth look at what you should do.

Registration Checklist:

  1. Visit the MCC portal: Open mcc.nic.in and find the link for “UG Medical / Dental Seats – Online Allotment Process – Stray Vacancy Round 2025”.
  2. Read the Information Bulletin: Once released, the bulletin will contain the detailed rules, fee structure, seat-matrix, eligibilities, etc. Always download and read it.
  3. Click on “New Registration”: If you haven’t yet registered for the Stray Vacancy Round, you need to fill the registration details. (Even if you registered earlier for other rounds, this may require fresh registration)
  4. Enter required information: Typically your NEET roll no, date of birth, category, credentials. Ensure you enter correct data.
  5. Upload scanned documents: Photograph, signature, category certificate / PwD certificate (if applicable). File size/format requirements will be given.
  6. Pay the registration fee: The fee amount will be specified in the bulletin. Payment must be completed online within the window. Without payment, registration is incomplete.
  7. Login for further steps: After registration and payment, you’ll receive (or have) login credentials which will be used for choice-filling and locking.
  8. Download/print registration confirmation: Keep a copy (PDF/hard copy) of your registration confirmation for your records.
  9. Be ready for choice-filling: Since choice-filling begins soon after registration opens, plan your list of preferred colleges/courses in advance (based on rank, fees, location, infrastructure, etc).
  10. Monitor for updates: The MCC website will publish notices if there are changes or extensions.

Tips for Registration:

  • Do not wait until the last minute—traffic on the portal may increase near deadlines.
  • Make sure your photograph and signature meet the correct size/format requirements (check bulletin).
  • If you’re uploading category or PwD certificates, ensure they are valid and correctly issued—invalid certificates can lead to disqualification.
  • Save your login credentials securely. You’ll need them for choice filling, result access, downloading allotment letter, etc.
  • Keep enough time ahead of the deadline to handle any technical issues.

Conclusion

The MCC NEET UG 2025 Special Stray Round is a crucial final opportunity for candidates to secure MBBS, BDS, or BSc seats under the All India Quota. With strict timelines and no scope for upgradation, candidates must carefully complete registration, choice filling, and reporting within the given dates. Staying updated with official MCC notifications and adhering to deadlines is essential to avoid seat cancellation. A disciplined and informed approach can help aspirants successfully confirm their medical admission in this last counselling round.

FAQs

Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2025 and meet the eligibility for this round—especially those who have not yet joined a seat from earlier rounds and are not currently holding a seat from earlier AIQ allotment. Fresh registration is required.

Generally, if you have already been allotted a seat through earlier rounds and have joined that seat, you are not eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round under AIQ via MCC. The rules specifically state that those who have joined earlier seats cannot participate in this round.

No. For this round you must perform fresh choice-filling and locking specifically for this stray vacancy round. Your previous choices won’t carry over.

If you miss the locking deadline (12 Nov 11:55 pm), your last saved list may be considered but you risk not having optimised your options. It also increases the chance of mis-allocation. Best practice is to lock well before the deadline.

In this final round, the primary aim is to secure a seat and fill vacancies—options to upgrade may be limited or subject to rules. If you already have a seat and joined it, you may not be eligible for this upgrade process under AIQ.
