Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released tentative dates for various exams under its ongoing recruitment and promotion cycles, giving lakhs of teaching and non-teaching aspirants a clear roadmap for the months ahead. Whether you are preparing for the direct recruitment written test, the Tier 2 skill-based round, or the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), knowing the exact schedule helps you plan your revision without last-minute panic.
This article breaks down every tentative date released by KVS so far, explains what each stage means for candidates, and tells you exactly where to check for real-time updates. Keep this page bookmarked, as KVS often revises dates due to administrative reasons, and staying updated can save you from missing a critical deadline.
The current KVS recruitment drive, conducted jointly by CBSE on behalf of KVS and NVS, covers thousands of teaching and non-teaching posts including PRT, TGT, PGT, Principal, Vice Principal, and administrative roles across the country.
| Particulars | Details |

| Total KVS Vacancies | 9,921 (Teaching – 8,701, Non-Teaching – 1,220) |
| Application Window | 14 November – 11 December 2025 |
| Tier 1 Exam Mode | Offline (Pen and Paper) |
| Selection Process | Written Test, Interview/Demo Class, Document Verification |
The direct recruitment process runs in two stages, and KVS has already made both tentative and confirmed announcements for these exams so candidates can align their study plan accordingly with enough preparation time in hand.
| Exam Stage | Tentative/Confirmed Date | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 Written Exam | 10–11 January 2026 | Conducted |
| Tier 1 Result & Answer Key | 28 February 2026 | Released |
| Tier 2 Exam (Skill/Interview) | 27–31 March 2026 | Conducted |
| Tier 2 City Intimation Slip | Released ahead of exam | Released |
Candidates who cleared Tier 1 were shortlisted for Tier 2, which included subject-specific evaluation for teaching posts and skill tests for non-teaching roles such as Stenographer and Junior Secretariat Assistant.
Apart from direct recruitment, KVS also conducts the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) and Limited Departmental Examination (LDE) for internal staff seeking promotion within the organisation. These exams follow their own separate tentative calendar.
For the academic session 2026-27, KVS has also released tentative dates for contractual teacher recruitment through its newly launched Sanvida Sathi portal, which is a centralised system for managing walk-in interview panels across all Kendriya Vidyalayas nationwide.
Since KVS frequently updates its exam calendar, it is important to follow the correct official channels rather than relying on unverified sources circulating on social media groups.
Tentative dates are not final, but they still give a realistic preparation window. Missing even a provisional update can mean losing days you needed for revision, document collection, or travel planning, especially for candidates coming from smaller towns in Rajasthan and other Hindi-belt states who often need extra time to arrange logistics for exam day.
