The Uniform Civil Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, has been introduced, and also through the Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) approval, the Uttarakhand Government has introduced the ordinance with immediate effect. Governor Gurmit Singh under Article 213 of the Constitution.
