Law Officer -II
The exam has been divided into two parts i.e. Part A and Part B.

Part A:

  • Environmental Legislation in India

  • Environment (Protection) Act 1986 and amendments and various rules/notifications made thereunder

  • Corporate Environmental Responsibility

  • Role of the Pollution Control Board

  • Policy statement for abatement of pollution 1992

  • Public Liability Insurance Act 1991

  • National Green Tribunal Act 2010

  • Right to Information Act

  • Water Act 1974

  • Air Act 1981

  • Roles of the judiciary (combating 2005 pollution, Social and Civil Society Movements in protecting the environment)

  • Traditional common and criminal law remedies available to the citizens for abatement of pollution, Legal and social challenges to the regulation of the groundwater in India

  • The Constitution of India with special emphasis on Fundamental Rights (FR), Directive Principles (DPSP), and enforcement of rights through writs, functioning of the Supreme Court (SC), High Court (HC), National Green Tribunal(NGT), and various appellate authorities constituted under the Air Act & Water Act
