The 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has been concluded in Goa, which was being organized from 20-28 November 2023. The Opening and closing ceremony of the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was organized at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Bambolim, Goa. The event was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting of India, Anurag Singh Thakur. He has also inaugurated the Film Bazaar on the sideline of the 54th IFFI, which is south Asia’s largest global film market organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). 54th International Film Festival of India: History

Under the tenure of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, the first edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was organized by the Films Division, Government of India in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This event was founded in 1952. In later years, this event was organized in Calcutta, Delhi, Madras, and Trivandrum. In 2004, the IFFI was permanently moved to Goa. Since then, the Government of Goa and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting jointly conducted this festival.

54th International Film Festival of India: Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award

The IFFI Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award was introduced in 1999, during the 30th IFFI. Bernardo Bertolucci was the first winner of the IFFI Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award. Presently, Michael Douglas (Hollywood actor-producer) was honored with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at the 54th IFFI closing ceremony.

54th International Film Festival of India: Host

Since 2004, the Government of Goa and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting jointly conducted this festival, annually.

The international jury decides on the winners of Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female), Best Director, and Special Jury Prize categories. The list of the 54th IFFI International Jury is as follows:
