On July 27 in Glasgow, Sarvesh Kushare bagged the silver medal in men’s high jump at The Commonwealth Games 2026.

Kushare finished in second place with a margin of 2.25m. Kushare and Romaine Beckford both cleared 2.28m, but Beckford won gold on countback and the Indian athlete finished with silver.

This result gave Sarvesh Kushare the distinction of becoming the first Indian athlete to win a Commonwealth Games silver medal in men’s high jump.
