The Uttar Pradesh Government has launched the Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi portals to modernise the state’s skill development ecosystem and make it more accessible for providing employment and skill development opportunities. The digital platforms are intended to support people in using their skills in transparent, accessible, and industry-oriented ways, and were unveiled on World Youth Skills Day (15 July 2026). Kaushal Setu allows online training partner registration and empanelment, and Kaushal Sarathi serves district-wise details of all training programmes, training centres and skill programmes. It is aimed at fostering a talented workforce with skills for employment opportunities, which aligns with the goals of the Skill India Mission, Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Why in News?
The Uttar Pradesh Government started Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi portals during the event of World Youth Skills Day-2026 celebrated at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. The initiative aims to increase the quality of vocational education, enhance transparency in skill training, and link young people with employment.

What are Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi Portals?
To enhance the skill development system in Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh Government has launched two digital initiatives-Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi. The purpose of all these portals is to integrate industry, youth, government and training providers, all on a single platform, which will create a more accessible, transparent and industry-oriented vocational training setup.
Kaushal Setu features the digital registration, empanelment and monitoring of training partners, whereas Kaushal Sarathi is an information and guidance portal which will allow students and job seekers to learn about the centre for Skill Training of the district, the available courses there and the approved Training Institutions. All these portals would make it easy for the youth of Uttar Pradesh to access skill development programmes, make administrative work easier, and share various employment prospects.
