Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra has now been given the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army by the Indian government, starting from April 16, 2025. This honour is given to him for all the great things he has done for Indian athletics and because he has made the country proud. Neeraj, who is from Haryana, has already won an Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Olympics, a World Championship title in 2023, and got a silver medal at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
