The Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojana was a multi-dimensional state-wide scheme introduced by Punjab on July 8, 2025 to offer a minimum medical care of up to 10 lakh annually per family across the state in cashless manner. This initiative launched by the Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann and AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal, is anticipated to cover almost 65 lakhs of families in the state and make available healthcare to people of all social and economic classes.
And the Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojana provides free and cashless health care up to 10 lakh rupees per annum to the families in Punjab approximately 65 lakh in numbers.
The scheme will be both in government and in the private hospitals to further expand access to healthcare and having top-up insurance to those who are already in the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Coverage and beneficiaries:
The plan will have about 65 lakh families which is also around 3 crore of the whole of Punjab.
It encompasses families in other ventures such as government workers, pensioners, farmers, employees as well as businessmen.
Health Cards:
Eligible families will also be provided with the digital health card with the help of which they can get the cashless treatment in all government and private hospitals of the state.

Top-Up Coverage:

Serious conditions to be catered to under the treatment services include heart diseases, cancers, kidney diseases and surgeries among other uses covering more than 2000 diseases.
All beneficiaries are free to get treatment in any government or private hospital without paying a single penny out of their pocket.
Implementation Timeline:
Official launching of the scheme will take place on October 2, 2025, when registration camps will be held where residents will be allowed to enroll and get their health cards.
Cash free, and easy acquisition:
The work will remain cashless. Beneficiaries just need to provide their Aadhaar card and health card in order to have treatment.
There will be no down payments or reimbursement processes that need to be done, rather, healthcare will be simplified to all.
