On 22 November 2025, for the first time, the G20 Summit will be hosted on the African continent, and Johannesburg, South Africa, will host the summit. According to the presidency of South Africa, the theme is Unity, Equality, Sustainability, which the country has narrowed down to inclusive growth, climate action, and collaboration at the global level. The 20 leading economies, such as Argentina, India, China, the USA, the EU, and so on, will be united by the summit, as well as the African Union. Some of the significant objectives include the promotion of economic stability, energy transitions, industrialisation and employment, food security, and technological innovation. The summit is about international cooperation and sustainable development.
