GalaxEye, a Bengaluru-based space-tech startup, is scheduled to roll out in the first quarter of 2026, with Mission Drishti, the first multi-sensor Earth Observation (EO) satellite in the world. It will have a weight of 160 kg and will be the biggest privately constructed satellite in India, and the most remarkable resolution satellite made in India. Mission Drishti, equipped with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and high-resolution optical payloads, will provide governments, defense agencies, and industries with a full range of options to analyze and study geospatial imagery 24/7 and in all weather conditions. This is the first step in GalaxEye having a four-year plan to set up a constellation of 8-10 satellites to ensure that, in the coming few years, real-time observation of the Earth can be realized to be used at the global scale.
