On November 30 and December 1, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the 59th All India Conference of Director Generals/Inspector Generals of Police at Bhubaneswar. In his speech, he was especially focused on the processes of increasing the modernity of the police and their usage of new techniques and technologies to counteract new threats. The Prime Minister also brought out the clever version of policing known as SMART policing to improve policing situation throughout the country.
