1. Title sponsor of MotoGP Bharat

Petroleum refinery company, Indian Oil has become a title sponsor of the edition of MotoGP Bharat.
The event will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida from 22-24 September 2023.
This event is considered the first-ever grand prix in India.
The event will be organized by Fair Street Sports and Dorna Sports.
It is expected that a total of 42 teams and 84 riders will compete in the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 categories.

2. Singapore Grand Prix 2023

Carlos Sainz (Ferrari Driver) clinched the title of Singapore Grand Prix 2023, held at Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore.
He shared the podium with L. Norris (McLaren driver), who stood in second position, while Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes driver), who placed third on the podium.
Red Bull's driver Max Verstappen placed fifth.

3. India wins Asia Cup 2023 title for 8th time

Indian Men's Cricket Team has won the Asia Cup 2023 title after defeating Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium, Sri Lanka.
This is the eighth time, when India won the Asia Cup.
Before this feat, India won the title in 1984, 1988, 1991, 1995, 2010, 2016, and 2018.
In the final, Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj picked 6 wickets for 21 runs.
In the Asia Cup 2023, Kuleddp Yadav emerged as a man of the tournament, while the title of man of the match was won by Mohammad Siraj.

4. Diamond League Final 2023

India's Javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra finished second at the Diamond League Final 2023, held in Eugene.
He earned this spot with his remarkable throw of 83.80 meters.
In last year (2022), he bagged the gold medal in the Diamond League Final with a throw of 88.44 meters.
While Czech track and field athlete, Jakub Vadlejch placed first at the Diamond League Final 2023 with a throw of 84.24m.
And, Oliver Helander (Finnish athlete) placed third on the podium with a throw of 83.74m.

5. Elavenil Valarivan wins Gold medal at ISSF World Cup 2023

Indian shooter, Elavenil Valarivan has bagged the gold medal in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event at the ISSF World Cup 2023, organized in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In the final round, she defeated France’s Oceanne Muller.
Earlier, she finished 9th in the qualification round with 630.5.
The Rio de Janeiro meet is the last rifle and pistol ISSF World Cup of 2023.
The ongoing event will be followed by the finals in Doha, Qatar, which is scheduled to be held from November 18 to 27, 2023.
A squad of 16 members has been sent by India for ISSF World Cup 2023.

6. 'Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres' award 2023

In September 2023, India's fashion designer, Rahul Mishra was awarded the 'Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres' award by the French government.
He has been awarded for his immense contribution to art, culture, and literature.
With this feat, he joined a distinguished list of fellow countrymen and women, which include Ritu Kumar, Ritu Beri, Wendell Rodricks, and Manish Arora.
In 2014, he also became the first Indian designer to win the International Woolmark Prize at the Milan Fashion Week.

7. Indian Bank Launches ‘IB SAATHI’

In September 2023, the Indian Bank launched an ‘IB SAATHI’ initiative to enhance financial inclusion services.
This facility provides basic banking services at fixed outlets for a minimum of four hours daily.
It also provides doorstep banking.
Presently, the Indian bank offers 36 different services to customers through the Banking Correspondent (BC) channel.
Indian Bank is also planning to deploy around 5,000 banking correspondents by March 2024 to strengthen its accessibility and reach.

8. YashoBhoomi Convention Centre

In September 2023, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi inaugurated phase 1 of the Yasho Bhoomi convention center at Dwarka, New Delhi.
This project covers a total area of over 8.9 lakh sq m and a built-up area of more than 1.8 lakh sq m.
This project also boasts of a magnificent convention center, multiple exhibition halls, and other facilities.
This center is built across more than 73,000 square meters, which includes 15 convention rooms.

9. Coastal security drill ‘Operation Sajag’ organized

The Indian Coast Guard along the west coast has launched 'Operation Sajag’ to facilitate revalidation of the coastal security mechanism.
This drill also creates awareness among the fishermen at sea.
It was participated by 118 ships including those from Customs, Marine Police, Ports & Indian Navy.
During the drill, biometric card readers have also been issued to security agencies.
The day-long drill is conducted every month to improve the coastal security construct.

10. Sacred Ensembles of Hoysalas in UNESCO World Heritage List 2023

Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysala, (comprising of the Hoysala Temples of Belur, Halebid, and Somnathapura) located in Karnataka, has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With the addition of this site, India has 42 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. (September 2023)
This site was added to UNESCO‘s Tentative List on April 15, 2014.
This site is being protected monument of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Before this, the home of Rabindranath Tagore, Santiniketan was also added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
About the Sacred Ensembles of Hoysalas:
- It portrays the skill of Hoysala artists.
- Style: Basic Dravidian style
- Along with the basic Dravidian style, it also shows a strong influence of ‘Bhumija’, which is usually seen in central India, along with ‘Nagara’ traditions of northern and western India.

मोटोजीपी भारत का शीर्षक प्रायोजक

पेट्रोलियम रिफाइनरी कंपनी, इंडियन ऑयल मोटोजीपी भारत के संस्करण का शीर्षक प्रायोजक बन गई है।
यह आयोजन 22-24 सितंबर 2023 तक ग्रेटर नोएडा के बुद्ध इंटरनेशनल सर्किट में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
इस आयोजन को भारत में अब तक का पहला ग्रैंड प्रिक्स माना जाता है।
कार्यक्रम का आयोजन फेयर स्ट्रीट स्पोर्ट्स और डोर्ना स्पोर्ट्स द्वारा किया जाएगा।

भारत ने आठवीं बार एशिया कप 2023 का खिताब जीता

भारतीय पुरुष क्रिकेट टीम ने श्रीलंका के आर प्रेमदासा स्टेडियम में श्रीलंका को हराकर एशिया कप 2023 का खिताब जीत लिया है।
यह आठवीं बार है, जब भारत ने एशिया कप जीता है.
इस उपलब्धि से पहले भारत ने 1984, 1988, 1991, 1995, 2010, 2016 और 2018 में खिताब जीता था।
फाइनल में भारतीय क्रिकेटर मोहम्मद सिराज ने 21 रन देकर 6 विकेट लिए।
एशिया कप 2023 में कुलेद्दप यादव मैन ऑफ द टूर्नामेंट बनकर उभरे, जबकि मैन ऑफ द मैच का खिताब मोहम्मद सिराज ने जीता.

डायमंड लीग फाइनल 2023

भारत के भाला फेंक खिलाड़ी, नीरज चोपड़ा यूजीन में आयोजित डायमंड लीग फाइनल 2023 में दूसरे स्थान पर रहे।
उन्होंने 83.80 मीटर के अपने उल्लेखनीय थ्रो के साथ यह स्थान अर्जित किया।

भारतीय निशानेबाज इलावेनिल वलारिवन ने ब्राजील के रियो डी जनेरियो में आयोजित आईएसएसएफ विश्व कप 2023 में महिलाओं की 10 मीटर एयर राइफल स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीता है।
फाइनल राउंड में उन्होंने फ्रांस की ओसिएने मुलर को हराया।
इससे पहले वह क्वालिफिकेशन राउंड में 630.5 अंक के साथ 9वें स्थान पर रही थीं।
रियो डी जनेरियो प्रतियोगिता 2023 का आखिरी राइफल और पिस्टल आईएसएसएफ विश्व कप है।

सितंबर 2023 में, भारत के प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने द्वारका, नई दिल्ली में यशोभूमि सम्मेलन केंद्र के चरण 1 का उद्घाटन किया।
यह परियोजना 8.9 लाख वर्ग मीटर से अधिक के कुल क्षेत्रफल और 1.8 लाख वर्ग मीटर से अधिक के निर्मित क्षेत्र को कवर करती है।
इस परियोजना में एक शानदार कन्वेंशन सेंटर, कई प्रदर्शनी हॉल और अन्य सुविधाएं भी हैं।
यह केंद्र 73,000 वर्ग मीटर से अधिक क्षेत्र में बना है, जिसमें 15 सम्मेलन कक्ष शामिल हैं।

तटीय सुरक्षा अभ्यास 'ऑपरेशन सजग' का आयोजन

पश्चिमी तट पर भारतीय तट रक्षक ने तटीय सुरक्षा तंत्र के पुनर्वैधीकरण की सुविधा के लिए 'ऑपरेशन सजग' शुरू किया है।
यह ड्रिल समुद्र में मछुआरों के बीच जागरूकता भी पैदा करती है।
इसमें सीमा शुल्क, समुद्री पुलिस, बंदरगाहों और भारतीय नौसेना सहित 118 जहाजों ने भाग लिया।
ड्रिल के दौरान सुरक्षा एजेंसियों को बायोमेट्रिक कार्ड रीडर भी जारी किए गए हैं.
तटीय सुरक्षा निर्माण में सुधार के लिए हर महीने एक दिवसीय अभ्यास आयोजित किया जाता है।

यूनेस्को की विश्व विरासत सूची 2023 में होयसला के पवित्र समूह

कर्नाटक में स्थित होयसला के पवित्र समूह (बेलूर, हलेबिड और सोमनाथपुरा के होयसला मंदिरों को मिलाकर) को यूनेस्को की विश्व धरोहर स्थल के रूप में मान्यता दी गई है।
इस साइट के शामिल होने के साथ, भारत के पास 42 यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर स्थल हो गए हैं। (सितंबर 2023)
इस साइट को 15 अप्रैल 2014 को यूनेस्को की अस्थायी सूची में जोड़ा गया था।
वे भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (एएसआई) के संरक्षित स्मारक हैं।
इससे पहले, रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर के घर, शांतिनिकेतन को भी यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर स्थलों में शामिल किया गया था।
