Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), located in Bengaluru, has launched its Climate Action Plan (CCAP).

This initiative was launched in line with C40 Cities’ commitment to tackle climate change.

• Under this initiative, the organization has outlined 269 actions to suppress the climate change impacts in areas such as including urban heat, thunderstorms, flooding, droughts, lightning, and air pollution.

The advertising industry’s self-regulatory body, the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has introduced a 9-point draft of guidelines to combat “greenwashing” by companies.

• Environmental claims should consider the full life cycle of the product/service.
• Approvals of certifications and seals should specify the evaluated attributes.

3. WHO and the Ministry of Ayush signed Agreement

Recently, the Ministry of Ayush and the World Health Organization (WHO) signed the Traditional and Complementary Medicine under the Project Collaboration Agreement in Geneva, Switzerland.

5. IAF Lands ‘Super Hercules’ Military Transport Aircraft

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has landed two of its C-130J-30 ‘Super Hercules’ military transport aircraft successfully in Uttarakhand.

6. New Pamban Bridge
