Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Shri Prahlad Joshi launched \u2018Anna Chakra\u2019 and SCAN Portal (Subsidy Claim Application for NFSA) to modernize India\u2019s Public Distribution System (PDS) and streamline subsidy claim processes. This makes the initiative unique which helps improve the speed and efficiency of the world\u2019s largest food security program providing a food safety net to 81 Crore beneficiaries.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

What is Anna Charka?<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

    It is developed by the Department of Food and Public Distribution in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) and IIT Delhi\u2019s Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
