Additionally, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Maharana Pratap University of Horticulture in Haryana, focusing on advancing horticulture education and research.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Shri Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India inaugurated LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana and Also laid the foundation stone for the Maharana Pratap University of Horticulture.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is a new launched scheme to empower women in the rural India. The strategy aims to empower rural women by educating them as Bima Sakhis and offering insurance services that also make them earn an income. Besides empowering the women, it will be contributing towards the achievement of the concept of financial inclusion broadly.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Besides, establishment of Maharana Pratap University of Horticulture will play a decisive role in developing the standard of horticulture education and research in the region. University advanced training and research will center on horticulture benefiting farmers and boosting the agricultural sector. This and the above shows that both initiatives are in harmony with the government, and its goals towards the development of the rural sector, advancement of women and a growth in the agricultural sector.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Launch of Bima Sakhi Yojana:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Union Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bima Sakhi Yojana of Life Insurance Corporation in Panipat Haryana as a part of financial independence for women and employment.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The scheme will create employment opportunities for 2 lakh women owning Insurance agents known as Bima sakhis.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Importance of Women&#8217;s Empowerment:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The PM stressed the importance of the development of India and referred to the eradication of barriers and provision of opportunities to women as being the key to advancing the nation.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He pointed out that the government scheme of Bima Sakhi Yojana is among several measures that the government has taken to empower women and ensure they embrace improved sources of livelihood and income.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Connection with Haryana:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The PM thanked Haryana for the success and efforts it has made for women\u2019s welfare and also appreciated the safety Slogan \u2018Ek hain to safe hain\u2019 in the state.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The new scheme the Bima Sakhi Yojana was launched in a year after the inauguration of the highly successful Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign that was started from Panipat.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Government Initiatives for Women:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In his speech, Shri Modi underlined the efforts of the government in opening opportunities for women across different domains; armed forces, police, corporate sectors and so on.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He also spoke about how 30 crore women&#8217;s bank accounts were opened through Jan Dhan Yojana and, through it, subsidies and direct benefits reach women.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Role of Bima Sakhis in Social Security:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The PM explained that the Bima Sakhi would help in the \u2018Insurance for All\u2019 campaign in India to provide social security and eradicate poverty.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It will also generate income avenues for women; as LIC agents, they could earn up to \u20b91.75 lakh per annum.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Other Initiatives for Women Empowerment:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The PM spoke of many schemes like Bank Sakhi, Krishi Sakhi, Pashu Sakhi, and Lakhpati Didi etc which have empowered rural women across India in their respective fields.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He elaborated on the functioning of Self Help Groups SHGs which had commenced to revolutionize the rural economy through linking with over 100 million women.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Foundation Stone of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PM also inaugurated the Maharana Pratap Horticultural University which is located in Karnal, Haryana and will prove to be beneficial in improving horticulture education and research.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The university will be set up with a budget of \u20b9 700 crore and aims at providing graduate and post-graduate degrees in horticulture.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Commitment to a Developed India by 2047:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Prime Minister briefly stressed the government\u2019s goal of making India a developed country by the time of the country\u2019s seventy years of independence in 2047 while particularly focusing on the role and significance of women in the development process with special reference to the Bima Sakhi.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Additional Government Efforts:<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He also spoke about various schemes of the government for farmers of Haryana which included over \u20b91.25 lakh crore MSP for farmers and \u20b9800 crore to farmers affected by drought.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A Vision for the Future:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In conclusion, Shri Modi said that he has full faith that women&#8217;s power will further reinforce the development in the Haryana State and India as a whole and help in strengthening the fabric of the Indian economy and society.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Conclusion<\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The launch of the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana marks a significant step in empowering rural women by providing them with financial independence and employment opportunities.
