The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) designed ERSS, which combines police, fire, ambulance, women&#8217;s safety, disaster management and emergency services into the single helpline 112. Recently, the Supreme Court has ordered all States\/UTAs to incorporate existing emergency and blood bank helplines in district-oriented 112 in three months, which has given an impetus towards the rollout of the system across the country.
